Polyethylene (PE) is the most widely used polyolefin in the world by volume. LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN produces all three types of PE, namely High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), in more than 45 grades in total.

LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN commenced operations of the first polyethylene plant in September 1993. Employing Unipol technology from Union Carbide, the swing plant currently has a nominal capacity of 220KTA. This plant is capable of producing HDPE, LLDPE and mLLDPE grades and currently is dedicated for HDPE production. The total PE production capacity of LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN in Malaysia was increased to 565KTA with the construction of two more PE plants at its Tanjung Langsat site. A 230KTA Low Density Polyethylene Plant employing ExxonMobil’s tubular technology commenced operations in October 1999 and a 115KTA HDPE plant using Mitsui bimodal process technology commenced operations in September 2000.

The acquisition of PT LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN Nusantara, formerly known as PT Peni Nusantara in Merak, Banten, Indonesia in 2006 increased LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN’s total production capacity by an additional 450KTA PE. PT LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN Nusantara produces a wide range of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) and metallocene Linear Low Density Polyethylene (mLLDPE). Ziegler-Natta & Cr type catalyst from INEOS produces high quality products and provides optimum environmental protection. LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN now has a combined nominal capacity of 1,015 KTA of PE.
